Which stove should you buy: wood, gas or pellet?
Wood if you want heat that works in a power cut and fuel you can buy locally. Gas if you want a thermostat and almost no work. Pellet if you want automated running with very low ash. The real question is how much handling you are willing to do.

Stoves questions
What is the difference between a wood, gas and pellet stove?
Wood burns cordwood you load by hand and needs no power unless you add the fan option. Gas runs on natural gas or propane with a thermostat or remote, and does need electricity. Pellet burns compressed wood pellets through an automated feed with programmable settings and very low ash, and also needs electricity.
Which stove works during a power cut?
A wood stove, as long as it has no fan option fitted — the fire itself needs no power. A gas stove does need electricity, but with battery backup it keeps running through an outage. A pellet stove needs power for its auger, fan and controls, so it stops when the electricity does.
Does Green Heat install the stoves it sells?
Yes. Factory-trained technicians do every installation, usually in a day, and Jeff the owner has been on every single one since 2006 except one during Covid. After each install he goes over the stove with you.
Will you service a stove I bought elsewhere?
Cleanings and servicing are offered only on units Green Heat installed. If yours came from somewhere else, say so when you call and we will tell you straight whether we can help.
